Allergy Sensitive materials

Our dentists have found that some patients suffer irritation when they have acrylic dentures or metal alloys fitted. However, there are now a variety of technologies available that mean anyone who is sensitive to dental alloys can still benefit from having partial or complete dentures fitted. Speak to a dental prosthetist at our clinic to find out more about the range of options available.

What are Allergy Sensitive Materials?

Our dentists have found that some patients suffer irritation when they have acrylic dentures or metal alloys fitted. However, there are now a variety of technologies available that mean anyone who is sensitive to dental alloys can still benefit from having partial or complete dentures fitted.

Crown Holistic Dental is proud to offer patients a top-quality allergy sensitive solution with Valplast dentures.

Made from a thermoplastic nylon material that is biologically compatible and free from allergens.

They are designed to be unbreakable, comfortable, and virtually invisible in the mouth.

The Material: Valplast is a highly flexible, 100% monomer-free thermoplastic material that is perfect for partial and temporary dentures.

Ingredients

This material boasts a high-purity nylon resin that is free from methyl methacrylate, benzoyl peroxide, carboxylic acids, and amines. Additionally, it has a lower water intake compared to conventional PMMA and is resistant to most organic acids.

In simple terms - This material is made from a special kind of nylon that is very pure. It does not contain certain harmful substances like methyl methacrylate, benzoyl peroxide, carboxylic acids, or amines. It also takes in less water than regular PMMA and can resist many types of organic acids.

**(Amines - This means that the resin does not contain amines, which are a common type of chemical that can be harmful to some patients who are particularly sensitive to other Denture Materials)

These dentures are ideal for solution for temporary and immediate restorations.

Plus they are excellent for biocompatibility, freedom from allergies, and elasticity. Because they are flexible they are lightweight thinner than other conventional dentures and very comfortable to wear.

They can be easily inserted and removed, and are ideal for patients with small mouths. However, they can be difficult to reline and may require replacement in the event of further tooth loss. Despite these limitations, many patients confirm that Valplast dentures are comfortable to wear and enhance their quality of life compared to traditional clamped prostheses
